Durban

The trip to Durban was a boy’s trip, mainly to pick up two bikes’s  that Ralph had shipped over to race but that  unfortunately went wrong. However the rest of the two days went very well. Turp and myself drove a “Bakki” (SA name for a pickup) to Jo-Berg and  met Clinton and Jodie. From there we drove down to Durban in Jodie’s top of the range land cruiser (very nice) and met Ralph and Co who had driven across country from the farm with a trailer in tow. We stayed in a superb exclusive complex on the beach front and even had our own golf buggy to cruise around in!! That’s where we lost Jeff’s phone, six up on the buggy almost on two wheels (sorry Jeff!!) Strange place Durban a totally different kind of heat, very damp and your clothes felt wet as soon as we arrived. An excellent few days away and I now think I hold the record for a white bloke riding in the back of a bakki…. 800k in about 8 hours, got me feet tanned tho!!! Thank to Clinton and Jodie sorry we didn’t get time to say thanks Jodie J
