Well what can I say about South Africa that I have not already said in the pages below and in my diary? I have had what can only be described as "the time of my life!" I felt before I came over here that I would love Africa and that I would fit in and enjoy it, I had a gut feeling. I have met so many people and made more friends than I could have dreamt of. I have lived with a few families and lived as a local, I have had cocktails in Jo-Burgs best polo club, flown over Victoria falls in a Cessna, held a lion cub, ridden thousands of miles across Africa on bikes through 4 different countries, written an article for South Africa's best selling bike magazine, glided through trees on a steel cable 150 feet above the forest floor, eaten all sorts of strange things, been eaten by mossies and bitten by spiders! I was even fortunate enough to see "African wild dogs" in the wild coming back through Botswana to name a few things. I have seen parts and places in Africa that many people, including natives that will never see. I know that Africa will now be a part of my life and I hope my family and friends in time. Everybody should see a part of Africa once in his or her lives! Building this website has been an excellent challenge and still is and I was amazed at how advanced this part of the world is and how relatively easy it has been. I really cant say enough nice things about the people I have had the fortune to meet over here both African and English they have all been so kind and hospitable to me and I thank you all very much. Yes South Africa has its problems and its crime but it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It's going to be hard to leave here but after planning only a six week stay I can't complain!! So I am of to see the wizard on Wednesday and if its only one tenth as good as Africa I will be one happy traveller ;-)
