Eastern Transvaal   (ET)
 .

Thanks to Ralph and Clinton we where able to hire 7 BMW motorbikes from the biggest BMW dealer in South Africa and ride them north to “ET”

We had three GS1150’s that Turp Mick and  paul rode. One big boy “Adventurer” that Ralph literally charged at every time he wanted to get it up and going,
it really was a beast of a thing!!!

Sam and I had 650 singles mine a “Daktari” special ;-) and Jeff  and Margaret rode his new GS 1200 and Rose and Jane drove the back up vehicle.

We had such a brilliant time the views where incredible, Gods window being one of the most dramatic. We stayed in a little place called “Mac Mac” falls in a couple of houses literally in the forest. I don’t think Jane, Turp or myself will ever forget the Scorpion that was in our house the first night or the “Park Town Prawn”  The nearest town was a 15 minute drive through the mountains where a good pub/restaurant awaited us. The drive there in the back of the “Bakki” was also an experience we won’t forget with thunder and lightning chasing us down the road. We spent a couple of days riding around the mountains including the “Kings highway” awesome just awesome!!! A proper bike weekend. Then back to Jo-Berg to return the bikes undamaged but well used!! ;-)
